Second NASA Championships a Great Success

NASA is pleased to announce the successful completion of the 2nd annual NASA National Championships presented by Toyo Tires at the Mid Ohio Sports Car Course.

425 competitors from 32 states and 2 Canadian provinces converged on the storied Mid Ohio for three days of intense competition that crowned 39 National Champions across NASA's racing and time trial programs. The competitors ranged in age from 15 to 75 and competed in many different marques of racecars with Mazda being the best represented brand. The state with the highest representation of racers was Ohio followed by California, Michigan, Illinois, Texas, and North Carolina. The racers were supported by an army of 120 volunteers who arrived from 19 different states confirming the event's truly national scope.

Results are now final and competitors can begin to cash in on the nearly $1.1M of contingencies that were posted for the event. Please visit NASAChampionships.com for more information about the 2007 event and for information regarding the 2008 contest when it becomes available.
