May 28, 2008 7:35 AM — The National Auto Sport Association (NASA) opened registration today for the 3rd annual NASA National Championships presented by Toyo Tires at the Mid Ohio Sports Car Course. The tradition will continue for this year on September 11-14, 2008 with the national championship races taking place on Sunday, September 14, 2008 and Time Trial competition concluding on Saturday, September 13, 2008. The event has featured intense competition and has crowned champions is NASA's national classes for the past two years from fields of over 400 competitors. Contingency awards for last year's event topped $1,000,000 and recent major programs point towards exceeding that mark for this year.

Car numbers, garages, and paved paddock parking will be issued on a first come, first served basis, so racers should sign up early to guarantee their preferred selections.
