January 22, 2009 4:27 PM — The National Auto Sport Association (NASA) is pleased to announce that Toyo Tires will remain the presenting sponsor of the 2009 NASA Championships to be held at Miller Motorsports Park September 10-13, 2009. Toyo has continued their generous contingency program that allows top-finishing racers at the Championship event to walk away with up to $4,000 for a class win. The contingency program worth over $200,000 in cash and "Toyo Dollars" will be open to competitors competing on the Toyo Proxes R888 competition DOT radial Tire at the Championship event. It was announced late last year that NASA was adding Miller Motorsports Park in Tooele, Utah as the site for the 2009 and 2010 National Championship events and that Mid Ohio Sports Car Course would remain the East Coast site for the 2001 and 2012 events. The addition of the Miller facility to the roster is a key part in NASA's plan which will rotate the event every few years to make it more accessible to a larger group of racers and help continue to attract a greater number of participants. The Toyo contingency program will make contingency awards available to every class at the 2009 NASA Championship event.
