NASA Announces New Super Touring R Class

The National Auto Sport Association (NASA) is pleased to announce the introduction of a new race classification called Super Touring R (STR) for tube frame constructed race vehicles. This new class will be introduced on a provisional basis for 2009 to test interest before being afforded a permanent place in the organization. Two classes will be available using the popular Super Touring format with simple power to weight ratios and other modification factors used to determine placement into STR1 (5.5:1 minimum adjusted ratio) or STR2 (8.7:1 minimum adjusted ratio). The STR1 and STR2 classes will be available immediately in all NASA regions and will also be offered at the National Championships at Miller Motorsports Park.
