April 9, 2009 4:36 PM —
The National Auto Sport Association (NASA) announced today that fans will be able to watch the exciting action live from select races at the 2009 NASA Championships which will be held at Miller Motorsports Park on September 13, 2009. The coverage will be made possible by a new effort from Speedcast Productions, which has produced the video coverage of the NASA Championships in years past. Following the launch of their ground-breaking new website, SpeedcastTV.com, Speedcast Productions announced that the company will produce live multi-camera coverage of the 2009 NASA Championships at Miller Motorsports Park. The live webcast will be available to Silver Members on SpeedcastTV.com. To introduce this program, SpeedcastTV.com is offering a 50% discount on the cost of becoming a SpeedcastTV.com Silver member for a limited time.
"We've been producing on-demand coverage of the NASA championships
since 2007," said Speedcast president, Clark Cambern. "Each year we
try to step up our game a little more. In 2009, we're taking things to
the next level with a live multi-cam webcast."
Cambern added that the 2009 webcast will be fully produced, with cameras around the track covering every race group included in the production. The video will also include a scrolling running order graphic and commentary. "NASA fans have come to expect television-level quality from our on-demand webcasts. Now we have the technology to deliver the same kind of experience live."
The 2008 NASA Championships are currently featured on SpeedcastTV. NASA now also has its own page on the site, which will include breaking news and profiles of NASA drivers.
Special Promotion for NASA members!
Lower-quality on-demand, post event video of each race will be available for free to non-members. However, to support the infrastructure associated with live production, a Silver membership on SpeedcastTV.com will be required to access the live webcast. Silver members will also have access to high-quality on-demand versions of the NASA Championship races after the conclusion of the event.
From now until May 1, NASA members can purchase a Silver membership for just $9.98 using the discount code provided below which represents a 50% savings. In September, Silver members will also have the chance to add free 30-day access for friends and family members. "We want to make sure that every competitor at the Championships can be seen by their family and friends," said Cambern. "By purchasing a year-long membership now, every NASA driver can make sure his or her fans will see the action live in September."
