American Iron (AI)

American Iron Extreme (AIX)

Super Touring-R 1 (STR 1)

Super Touring-R 2 (STR 2)

American Iron (AI)

Tommy Schlender won the second qualifying race making that a sweep for him after winning the first qualifying race on Thursday in his Pontiac Firebird sponsored by Applegate Garage and Carstar Collision.  Second place went to Bryan MacMillan who moved up from sixth place (Bryan took third in Thursday’s qualifying race).  The third spot in American Iron’s second qualifying race went to Ross Murray who also moved up through the field (following Bryan’s lead) going from seventh to third in his number 74 Ford Mustang.

American Iron Extreme (AIX)

The second American Iron Extreme qualifying race looked like a repeat of the first with Chris Griswold setting another fast lap (1:59.676) and winning in his Ford Mustang.  Jim Pantas, again, coming in second in another Ford Mustang.

Super Touring-R 1 (STR 1)

Mark Alger took his second qualifying race win at the NASA 2010 National Championships driving his Mazda RX-7 to another first place.  Terry Free followed suit by finishing second (a repeat finish as well) in a Corvette Z06 sponsored by Pole Position Raceway.  Evan Gardner finished third.

Super Touring-R 2 (STR 2)

Super Touring-R 2 qualifying race two was another repeat event with the top three drivers repeating from Thursday.  Josh Carroll, driving a Mazda RX-7, sponsored by Endsight, won both races.  J.R. Smith, driving a Chevrolet Corvette sponsored by Pfadt Racing and API Speed Shop, finished second in both races.  Kyle Kelly, also in a Corvette, sponsored by Upracing.com and Apex, earned third both days.

The two separate qualifying races (one Thursday and one Friday) determine grid positions for NASA National Championship races Saturday and Sunday September 18-19, 2010, at Miller Motorsports Park.
