NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP RACE RESULTS (Thursday Group A)

National Auto Sport Association (NASA) 2010 National Championships presented by Toyo Tires.

Factory Five Racing

 

With a field of twelve Cobras deep, Paul Kaiser, Kaiser Racing, won the first qualifying race of the 2010 NASA National Championships in his number 17 Factory Five Racing Cobra.  Paul set the fastest lap of the race with a 2:12.192.  Scott McKay in his number 64 McKay Law Firm Factory Five Racing Cobra came in second and John George picked up the third spot in his number 48 Factory Five Racing Cobra.

 

Camaro Mustang Challenge (CMC)

 

Besting a field of seven entrants, Rob Liebbe, driving a 1993 Camaro, sponsored by Uncle Al, picked up the win in the Camaro Mustang Challenge’s first qualifying race and set the fastest lap of that race with a 2:18.384.  Adam Ginsberg came in second in his 1985 Ford Mustang sponsored by Maximum Motorsports, Donovan Racing and StopTech Brakes.  David Balingit, in his number 16 Ford Mustang sponsored by Hanksville Hotrods, came in third.

 

Camaro Mustang Challenge 2 (CMC 2)

 

Six competitors made it to the first qualifying race for Camaro Mustang Challenge 2 and Nick Steel won in his number 25 Chevrolet Camaro.  Dave Brown of Team Life’s Good Racing, sponsored by Hawk Performance and AIP Electronics, set the fastest lap in the race with a 2:14.423 and finished in the second spot.  James Ray, sponsored by Diamond Warranty Corp. and Steeda, finished third in his number 68 Ford Mustang.

 

Two separate qualifying races (one Thursday and one Friday) will determine grid positions for NASA National Championship races Saturday and Sunday September 18-19, 2010, at Miller Motorsports Park.
