  Supplementary Regulations
These rules are in addition to the Enduro Rules Supplement found here.

Supplementary Rules and Regulations

1) All team owners or representatives shall check in FIRST with Registration upon arrival at the track. No exceptions. Pre-registered teams must still check in with Registration. Registration will open at 11AM on Friday, December 6th, at Thunderhill Raceway Park.

2) Credentials will be enclosed in the registration packages that are picked up at the track.

3) ALL DRIVERS AND CREW MUT DISPLAY AN EVENT CREDENTIAL AT ALL TIMES!

4) ALL FEES MUST BE PAID IN UNITED STATES CURRENCY. No checks from foreign banks. (Yes, Canada is 'foreign;' no offense meant.) No third party checks, no food stamps, no Rolex watch trades, and especially no 'first born' IOUs! U.S. cash on the barrelhead!

5) Each car will be required to have ONE AMB transponder. One will be available at registration for a small rental fee, if needed.

6) There will be no move-in allowed until Friday morning. Teams arriving Thursday night may park / camp on the paved roadway leading to the front gate. Any team doing so shall not use a BBQ, hunt, make excessive noise, operate motor vehicles of any kind, and must not leave any trash and/or waste water behind. ALL vehicles MUST stay on the pavement!

7) The raceway management will address violations of any track rules and / or policies. Such things as, property damage (littering, leaving used tires behind); inappropriate transportation (roller-skates, etc); etc. will result in penalties that are beyond the control of NASA. Please be aware that teams may be warned, fined, or even ejected by the raceway management. If any problems of this type occur, it would be best to notify the NASA Event Director immediately, so as to help mitigate the situation in the best manner possible.

8) There will be some television coverage as well as a number of magazine writers present. Therefore, in keeping with the spirit of NASA, we expect to see only professional behavior at all times. Unprofessional, unsportsmanlike, and aggressive behavior will be cause for immediate and harsh actions, including fines and/or ejection.

9) The "matching team uniform" rule will be enforced. If the team dons all white t-shirts, that would be sufficient. Please take this seriously. Team members with non-matching uniforms may not be allowed into the hot pits or the team may be reassigned to the auxiliary paddock-side pit spaces (see below). Anyone needing uniforms can contact GoGoGear.com.

10) All teams MUST display four (4) NASA stickers while on track. The stickers will be given to any team in need of them, free of charge. Because of this, there will be no excuse tolerated for not having the required stickers. A team WILL BE BLACK FLAGGED for not having the required stickers. NO EXCEPTIONS.

11) There is a sound limit of 103 dBA from 8:00 AM until 6:00 PM. The sound limit is 98 dBA from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM. Sound is measured at 50 feet from the racing surface at any point around the track.

        a. Any car measuring more than 103 dBA at any time before 6PM will be black flagged immediately, and given ONE (1) chance to lessen to sound to under 103 dBA (providing that they do not ignore or miss the black flag). Failure to reduce sound to the specified level will result in immediately exclusion from the remainder of the event.

        b. Any car measuring over 98 dBA before 6:00 PM will cause a warning to be issued to the team. NO black flagging will occur. The team may fix the sound problem whenever they choose. However, after 6:00 PM, any car over 98 dBA that had a minimum of two (2) prior warnings before 6:00 PM will be immediately excluded from the remainder of the event.

        c. Any car not previously warned for being over the sound limit, that violates the sound limit after 6:00 PM (98 dBA) will be given one (1) chance to reduce sound. [Other rules apply, see below.] Failure to reduce sound to the specified level will result in immediately exclusion from the remainder of the event.

        d. Any car that completes LESS than one (1) lap after suffering a mechanical failure resulting in a sound level of more than 98 dBA, after 6:00 PM, will be given one (1) chance to fix the problem, unless previous warnings were given for mechanical failures.

        e. Any car that completes MORE than one (1) lap after suffering a mechanical failure resulting in a sound level of more than 98 dBA, after 6:00 PM, will be immediately exclusion from the remainder of the event. [In other words, if you lose your muffler, pull in immediately!].

12) There will be a crack down on lights this year. Obnoxious and / or blinding lights will be subject to "adjustment" per the rules. Roof mounted lights are strongly discouraged. [In other words, take this as a hint!]

13) Pit space assignment will be based on first come first serve on Friday morning. One must go through Registration FIRST, before getting an assigned pit space. The Pit Space Concierge is Ali Arsham, of GoGoGear.com. Registration will give you the location of Monsieur Arsham.

        a. Anyone moving into a pit space that has not been assigned to them may be asked to move. Failure to comply with this rule will be cause for exclusion from the event.

        b. Teams with multiple cars may be asked to utilize less pit spaces. Any help in this area would be greatly appreciated.

        c. There may not be enough room in the pitlane to accommodate all teams. Therefore, there will be an overflow pitlane (auxiliary pitlane) in the paddock. This will accommodate about 5-7 teams. It will be the area against on the paddock side of the pitlane fence, between the first "pit-in" gate and the center gate. The entire area of the paddock from that area to the "main" paddock drive will be kept clear. No exceptions! This area will be coned off. DO NOT PARK IN THIS AREA.

        d. We ask those teams that are not entering for 'the win' and merely using this event for practice, to volunteer to pit in the paddock side Auxiliary Pit Spaces.

14) There is a 25mph speed limit in the pitlane. The officials will signal drivers to slow down, if they feel that they are over 25mph. If this signal is obeyed, there will be no penalty. The officials' objective is to help all teams enjoy their experience safely, not find ways to issue penalties. So, they will do their best.

        a. Speeding in the pitlane will warrant penalties. Those will range from a warning to a timed stop and go at the discretion of the race director.

        b. This event is supporting several charities. One of the ways that we will attempt to extract cash for this cause is by issuing valid speeding tickets, for speeding in the pitlane. This will be in addition to the regular penalties. There will be a uniformed police officer with a handheld radar gun in the pitlane during the race. A team will be fined $10 for each 1 mph over 25 mph for speeding. The fine can only be paid by check made out the specified charity.

15) There will be a $10 per person gate fee at Thunderhill Raceway Park on Saturday, December 7th. This fee applies to EVERYONE, except officials and card carrying VIPs / Media. There will be no exception. Please have all your crew members, drivers, and friends prepared to pay this fee. Look at it this way: for a little more than the cost of a 2-hour movie, you can get a weekend pass to the longest running auto race in the west!

16) There should be a "Cal Trans" type lighted signboard so the officials can communicate messages to the drivers and teams. All messages posted on the signboard during the race will be considered official notices.

17) NASA has a low-powered FM radio transmitter. The transmission frequency will be 88.9 on a standard FM radio, unless otherwise announced at the driver's meeting. It is mandatory that all drivers monitor this frequency. A mere $10 pocket FM receiver and earpiece should be sufficient.

        a. The Race Director will communicate important information for the drivers via the FM radio signal. Drivers that fail to monitor this frequency will not receive any penalties, but will miss crucial information. It is recommended that all of the crewmembers monitor this frequency as well.

        b. As an alternative to the driver monitoring the FM signal, a team may monitor it and relay messages to their drivers. This method however, is not recommended. There may be critical timing involved, and the delay in relaying the message could be costly.

        c. The NASA administration is providing this radio broadcasting as a service in order to make things more convenient and safer for the drivers. The NASA administration is NOT responsible for any malfunctions, miscommunication, and / or misinterpretations.

18) We welcome all guest drivers from other countries with a valid FIA road racing class license. However, all drivers are required to have a reasonable command of the English language so far as communication for racing and racetrack conduct is concerned. Any driver and/or crew that lack this command must have an interpreter present as needed.

19) There will be an open practice session on Friday, December 6th, from 5:00 PM until 5:30PM, regardless of whether a team has previously signed up for testing.

20) The Race Director's intent is to provide a qualifying session on Friday, Dec 6th, between 5:30 PM and 6:00 PM.

        a. Those drivers that wish to be on track from 5:00 PM until 6:00 PM for the practice / qualifying session, and have not previously registered with the track for testing that day, MUST sign in with the track office. There will be no fee, however each driver must follow this rule when applicable.

21) The Race Director reserves the right to change the qualifying method at anytime. If something should prevent an accurate qualifying session, then the Race Director may chose another system per the rules.

22) All teams shall have their car's logbook presented and signed by a NASA tech inspector. Logbooks from other recognized organizations might be adequate.

23) TECH WILL COME TO YOU! DO not form a line. We have all day Friday. Tech is still your responsibility, so make sure that we do not miss you. We are coming to you to make it convenient, do not take advantage of this!!

24) The team must declare a class for their vehicle. That could be a regular NASA class or another class recognized by another organization. In the case of the latter, the team MUST provide a current rule book for that class proving that their car meets those rules; in particular with regards to safety. No vintage style safety rules are allowed. The car must fit into a class from NASA, IMSA, Grand Am, SCCA, ICSCC, MCSCC, EMRA, or an FIA listed class. BMW club racing cars are approved safety wise, providing that they meet full BMW Club racing published safety specifications.

25) All teams entering cars in the ES and ESR classes are reminded that any exotic fuel or fuel additive MUST be reported to the Race Director. An MSDS may be required.

26) All teams are reminded that no 55-gallon drums of fuel are allowed in pitlane during the race, unless it is built into an approved refueling rig.

27) Please remember that all gas cylinders containing more than 200 pounds per square inch of pressure, must be secured in an upright position, or must be enclosed in a protective structure so as to prevent both head breakage and to provide containment should the head break off. There will be no warnings. A $75 safety violation fine will be issued immediately.

28) There will NOT be a full tent with free food provided during the race this year. However, there will be a catered 'food court' serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

29) There will be an awards banquet after the race at Franco's, in Willows. There will be a hot buffet served from 10:00 PM - 11:00 PM. This is not meant to replace dinner, but it should be a welcome and hearty experience! All officials, media and credentialed drivers and crew, are invited. This is free of charge.

        a. There will be a no host bar open from 10:00 PM until 2:00 AM.

        b. From 11:00 PM - 11:30 PM we will be handing out the awards and taking photos.

        c. There will be a celebration party from 11:30 PM, until we are kicked out.
