HPDE 1,2,3,4, NASA Time Trial (TT) Racing both days! This registration page is for HPDE, TT, NASA Instructors & Officials. RACERs can register for the SPRINT RACES on the other registration page for this event.. ***************** HIGH PERFORMANCE DRIVING EVENT (HPDE) details: Non-competitive driver education & advancement program. If this is your first event with NASA FL and you want to register for any group other than HPDE 1, E-mail Barbara@drivenasa.com with a summary of your track training..include number of track days & solo days, other DE clubs/schools, & tracks driven. Will reply to assist you with HPDE group placement approval. HPDE Group Guide: HPDE 1=Beginner: In-car instructor INCLUDED with HPDE 1 entry fee. First time & novice drivers learn the fundamentals of high performance driving with an in-car instructor. HPDE 2= Novice/intermediate solo: Graduates of HPDE 1 or equivalent program with 10 or less track days as a solo approved driver. Restricted passing..point by required. HPDE 1 & HPDE 2 group shared the same track sessions. HPDE 3= Advanced solo:by check ride approval only and for experienced drivers with a high number of track days on several tracks. Controlled passing zones..quicker pace and no point-by required. HPDE 4= Expert: Entry by pre-approval only for those with years of road course driving experience. Passing may occur anywhere on the paved road course with extreme caution. A very high level of driving skill and situation awareness required. HPDE Instructors invited to register for this event must be NASA FL Instructor School graduates or licensed NASA instructors in the current NASA FL Instructor program. NASA TT (Time Trial) open to qualified drivers who meet the requirements for HPDE 4. Min 2 full days in HPDE 4 is required for evaluation & approval for a TT license. See the NASA FL web site for TT info. AMB timing transponder is required for TT competition. HPDE SPECIAL NOTICES: Convertibles in HPDE must have factory installed roll-over protection, or roll bar that meets NASA specs @CCR. Open wheel vehicles are not allowed in HPDE or TT. **************** On line REGISTRATION TIPS & REMINDERS Your assigned CAR NUMBER will be your first choice unless we inform you otherwise. Please list 3 different car number requests. Unique 3-digit numbers are recommended. You will need to provide your own car numbers. Event pricing noted below gives the option for a single day rate or a special 2-day rate. Please choose carefully or check with Registrar before registering if you have questions. HPDE Cancellation policy: Refund minus $30 processing fee up to 7 days in advance of the event. Otherwise, no refund or credit. No partical credit for 2-day HPDE entries if unable to participate both days. The last day cancellations will be accepted for this event is Sat, Jan 2. Registration questions?
