If this is your first HPDE event with NASA FL and you want to register for any group other than HPDE 1, E-mail Barbara@drivenasa.com BEFORE you REGISTER with a summary of your track training..include number of track days & solo days, other DE clubs/schools, & tracks driven. Will reply to assist you with HPDE group placement approval BEFORE you register.

HIGH PERFORMANCE DRIVING EVENT (HPDE) Guidelines:

HPDE 1=Beginner/novice:
In-car instructor INCLUDED with HPDE 1 entry fee.
First time & novice drivers learn the fundamentals of high performance driving with an in-car instructor. This group tends to fill quickly!!

HPDE 2= Novice solo: Graduates of HPDE 1 or equivalent program. Restricted passing rules with point-by signal training. NOTE: HPDE 1 & HPDE 2 drivers share the same track sessions.

HPDE 3= Intermediate to advanced solo: Quicker pace. Entry by pre-approval or check ride screening. Passing in designated straights only unless informed otherwise..point-by signal is NOT required. Registered passengers ok.

HPDE 4= Highly Advanced: Entry by pre-approval or check ride for those with the highest level of driving skill and situation awareness. Passing may occur anywhere on the paved road course with caution. Registered passengers ok.

NASA FL Instructors: Registration open to invited NASA instructors and new instructors approved after formal application process. Instructor registration deadine is 10 days in advance of event.

NASA TT (Time Trial) open to highly experienced HPDE 4 level track drivers who meet the requirements for participantion @ TT rule book. Those newly approved for the unrestricted passing environment should expect to spend a min of 2 full days in HPDE 4 before evaluation for a TT license. See the NASA FL web site/ TT heading. AMB timing transponder is needed for TT competition.

HPDE SPECIAL NOTICES:
Convertibles in HPDE must have factory installed roll-over protection, or roll bar that meets NASA specs @CCR.
Open wheel vehicles are not allowed in HPDE or TT.

CAR NUMBERS: You will need to provide your own car numbers. Enter 3 DIFFERENT number selections in each box provided. Your assigned car number will be your first choice unless we inform you otherwise. Unique 3-digit numbers are recommended.

Event fees posted below provide the option for a single day or a 2-day weekend rate. Please choose carefully or check with Registrar before registering if you have questions. $50 late fee starts Thursday prior to event after 9 PM.

HPDE Cancellation policy: Refund minus $30 processing fee up to 7 days in advance of the event. Otherwise, no refund or credit. No partical credit for 2-day HPDE entries if unable to participate both days. The last day cancellations will be accepted for this event is Sat, June 18, 2011..
