Event #1500: August 18, 2012 - Washington Circuit, Summit Point, WV
***Pre-registration is closed. We will have at least 2 team spots available for at-track registrations, please contact Jon Felton to secure one.***
Welcome to the info & registration page for 2012 NASA Mid-Atlantic Twilight Kart Enduro #5! This is the feature enduro on Summit Point Kart's Washington Circuit during NASA-MA's August HPDE/TT/roadracing weekend at Summit Point. It will be on Saturday night August 18th for 120 minutes, starting at 7:00pm and ending at 9:00pm. It is an "arrive and drive" event so the karts will be provided. They are 13hp Sodi RX7 karts and the track is run counterclockwise under the lights. This is the third of four kart enduros we are hosting at SPK in 2012.
This enduro is only open to teams of two (or more) drivers, and at least three pit-stops will be mandatory (stop & go pit stops are allowed; the idea is to make things more equal for teams with additional drivers.) NASA membership is not required to participate. Spectating is free and encouraged. Consumption of alcoholic beverages by any driver is not permitted.
Please have all your drivers at the Washington Circuit by 6:15pm for registration and the drivers meeting. Closed-face DOT approved helmets with visors are required for all drivers. Gloves are strongly recommended. A limited number of loaner helmets are available, but please bring your own if possible. Other required attire is: shorts or pants, closed toe shoes, and long or short sleeve shirts (driving suits are NOT required for this event.) Drivers must be at least 16 years of age with a valid drivers license, and have a legal guardian present if they are under 18 (please contact Jon Felton first if any member of your team is under 18.)
There is no qualifying or warmup for this race, although you are welcome to arrive early for the usual paid arrive & drive sessions at SPK. Starting positions are assigned randomly at the drivers meeting. There will be a Le Mans start (starting drivers line up, run across the pavement when the green flag drops, hop in their idling karts, and go.) At the end of the 120 minutes, the team that has covered the most distance shall be declared the winner. Trophies will be awarded for first, second, and third place finishes.
Rough driving is not allowed and is grounds for immediate ejection and disqualification. Point-by signals are strongly recommended. Spare karts will be on hand in case of mechanical failures. Pit stop policies and refueling procedures will be explained at the drivers meeting. Black flag policies for this race will be detailed at the drivers meeting as well. You can absolutely assume that if your team is not driving safely, your team will be removed from the race (the more spins/offs your team has, the less likely it is that you will be allowed to continue.)
There will be no entry fee refunds but substitutions are fine (i.e. you can sell your team's entry to someone else; please contact Jon Felton for details.) This event will run rain or shine, we will not cancel or shorten this enduro unless SPK cancels or shortens on us due to storms/lightning - in which case the rescheduled date is TBA (hopefully later that night.) If you cannot make the rescheduled date, your team gets a 100% credit toward any future NASA-MA kart enduro in 2012.
The person signing up below will be considered the team's captain and point-of-contact. Please list your team's name in the "Sponsor" field. Additional team member names do not need to be submitted until trackside registration opens that evening.

In case it is not clear, the pricing below is "per team" not "per driver." Also, it does not matter which Class you choose on the registration because everyone runs in the same class for an arrive-and-drive kart enduro, you just have to choose a class to make the registration go through. Thanks and see you at the kart track!
