NASA ANNOUNCES NISSAN MOTORSPORTS CONTINGENCY

The National Auto Sport Association (NASA) is pleased to announce a season end award for the SE-R Cup 2005 season from Nissan Motorsports. Nissan Motorsports is offering a $750 cash prize to both the 2005 East and West Coast SR Class Champions. This award is in addition to Nissan’s already generous Grassroots Racing Parts Program, which provides Nissan racers with special pricing on Nissan Motorsports parts. To be eligible for either award, racers must complete the 2005 Registration Packet. The packet can be obtained by emailing a request to nmc.race@nissan-usa.com or via fax at 310-538-1462.

“With recent magazine exposure and racers now in the East, West and Midwest, this type of factory contingency is the next step of growth for the SE-R Cup. I'm looking forward to seeing more new racers this year and the battles to see who captures each Championship plus the generous Nissan award should be epic”, said SE-R Cup Series Director Jim Howard.

“We’re very excited to be a part of NASA’s grassroots program. We have had our eye on the SE-R Cup and are pleased with the direction it is headed. I hope to expand our relationship with NASA in 2006.” added Paul St. Clair from Nissan Motorsports.

NASA's SE-R Cup features an affordable and evenly matched group of Nissan sport compacts that provides both racers and vendors access to excellent promotional and racing opportunities. The series includes similarly prepared and appearing cars that can run nearly unlimited aftermarket created configurations, which generate tremendous interest from the tuner and import fan communities.
