  NASA Joins SFI Foundation  
NASA is is pleased to announce becoming a member group of the SFI Foundation.

The SFI Foundation, Inc. (SFI) is a non-profit organization established to issue and administer standards for specialty/performance automotive and racing equipment. Much of the safety equipment in a race car must be inspected and tested to establish the effectiveness of a given safety product. SFI is responsible to monitor adherence to the Specs Program by verification of certified test reports from recognized test laboratories and performance audits where applicable as defined by the Spec procedures. Each SFI Spec will be reviewed periodically by committee members, to revise and update as required by current technology.

NASA members are encourage to get the most up to date safety related information by visiting the SFI website.
