The National Auto Sport Association (NASA) is pleased to announce that Toyo Tires has again been selected as the Official Tire of NASA and that an exciting new contingency program has been put in place for NASA racers nationwide. The new program will reward all NASA racers who run and win on Toyo tires regardless of whether Toyo has been selected as the spec tire for that class. Racers in classes where Toyo is the spec tire will enjoy additional benefits above and beyond those offered to all NASA racers. Toyo will also be dropping the price of their RA-1 tire as an additional incentive for racers to make Toyo their brand of choice. Prices will be reduced on popular sizes such as the 205/60/R13, 225/50/R14, 205/55/R14, 205/50/R15, 225/50/R15, 255/50/R16, 235/40/R17, and 275/40/R17. The potential value of the program is large enough that a championship winner in a Toyo spec tire class could earn up to $3,000 per season in Toyo rebate coupons.
“We are extremely pleased with this new package for our people”, said John Lindsey NASA Chief Divisional Director, “This is a great program and I think it will really make our racers happy.”
The Toyo Proxes RA-1 will continue as the spec tire for American Iron, Spec Miata Challenge, Honda Challenge, the United States Touring Car Challenge, and the Camaro-Mustang Challenge. Toyo will also be involved with other NASA programs as the year progresses. The RA-1's long life and consistent excellent performance make it a perfect tire for NASA racers and HPDE drivers.
