This will be our 2nd Summer Showdown held at High Plains raceway in July. This is usually our largest event of the year with around 200 cars. The schedule for the weekend has been published.
The paddock is currently scheduled to open for participants to be able to arrive, drop off, and unload trailers on Thursday evening.
Entry fee for the weekend, which includes dinner at the Saturday evening awards banquet for participants and their guests, is $369 and $199 for one day. The entry fees go up on Monday, July 8th to $399 and $229 respectively. Spectators are welcome to watch the events at no charge.
The Saturday evening awards banquet and dinner is free for all participants and their guests. The dinner menu is teriyaki chicken and kalua pork. To help us ensure we order enough food, please register for the banquet and indicate the number of people that will be at the dinner.
The Friday before the event is currently an open test day. The open track day is being run by the track, though NASA RM will be timing to allow participants to test their transponders. More information and the link to register to participate in the open track day can be found at the track website.
On Friday, stick around for some live entertainment! The Brian Grace Band will be playing at the track on Friday night starting at 6:00
The track offers covered carports and RV spots with power. You can find more information and reserve at the track website as well.
As we expect a large number of entries, paddock space will be at a premium. We have a few areas reserved for some of the pro teams that will be supporting cars. If you are not in a reserved RV or carport spot, we ask that you please park as close to your neighbor has possible to ensure that everyone will be able to park. Please review the map of the paddock with the locations that we have reserved for the pro teams and plan with your friends accordingly.
