Cancellation Policies

By registering for any NASA event, you are agreeing to the relevant cancellation policies as listed below.

Arizona Region

HPDE/Time Trial/School/Open Track/Race: Full refund less $30.00 processing fee, with at least 10 day notice prior to the event, otherwise no refunds.

Once the car hits the track all fees are non refundable.


California- Northern Region

HPDE/Time Trial/School/Open Track: Full refund less $30.00 processing fee, with at least 1 week notice prior to the event, otherwise no refunds or credits. No exceptions.

Race Groups: Fees are fully refundable, less a $30 processing fee, provided that you registered at least 12 days in advance and you notify your NASA region within 5 days following the missed event. No partial refunds allowed. This policy does not apply to special events. Once the car hits the track all fees are non refundable.

California- Southern Region

HPDE/Time Trial/School/Open Track: Full refund less $30.00 processing fee, with at least 1 week notice prior to the event, otherwise no refunds or credits. No refunds or credits will be given if one has mechanical problems or does not pass tech inspection. No exceptions.

Race Groups: Fees may be carried over to a future event without penalty or fees are fully refundable, less a $30 processing fee, provided that you registered at least 14 days in advance and you notify your NASA region within 5 days following the missed event. No partial refunds allowed. This policy does not apply to special events. Once the car hits the track all fees are non refundable.

Central Region

HPDE/Time Trial/School/Open Track/Race: Full refund less $30.00 processing fee, within at least 5 days notice after the event.

Eastern US Rally

Florida Region

Racing/HPDE/Time Trial/Open Track/Test & Tune/Comp Eval/Hyperdrive/Garages/Transponder Rentals: Full credit valid for 365 days toward a later event, with at least 7 full days notice prior to the start of the event (i.e. before 12:01am on the Saturday one week prior, or 12:01am on the Friday one week prior for three day events), otherwise no credits – and sorry, no exceptions. Once the car goes on track all fees are non refundable & not eligible for credits. Waiting list entries automatically apply to our next event at the same track if a spot is not available, and are only eligible for credits. Cancellation requests are only accepted in writing and must be sent to regional director Jim VanderVliet (jim@drivenasafl.com) This all applies to regular FL Region events at Sebring or Homestead, the policy may be different for special events or shared events hosted by other regions.

Gateway Autocross Association by NASA Central Autocross

Great Lakes Region

-We are sorry but there will be no exceptions to these cancellation policies.
-Entry fees can not be transferred between NASA Regions.
-Entries fees cannot be transferred to another driver.
-Once the car hits the track all fees are non refundable.
-All refund or transfer requests must be emailed to the Registrar or Regional Director prior to the dates listed below.
-Fees vary depending on the track and date of purchase. Please check the registration link for each event for actual cost.
-Entries utilizing ANY promotion are not refundable.


HPDE/TT: Fees cannot be refunded or transferred after 10 days prior to the event being canceled. If you cancel 10 days prior to the event, you receive a full refund less $50.00 Processing fee. Fridays are separate from the weekend registration, can not be combined and will incur a separate $50 processing fee. An option to avoid the $50 processing fee, 10 days prior to the event, is a one-time transfer to a future event in the same region and the same calendar year. However, If you are unable to attend the event you transferred your entry to, a refund or second transfer will NOT be permitted. No partial refunds or refunds for transferring to a lower cost entry will be refunded. Entries transferred to a higher cost event will incur the difference in event costs.


Race Groups: If a race group is full, no refunds or transfers are permitted. Fees are fully refundable, less a $50 processing fee provided that you registered at least 12 days prior to the event or sent your notification within 5 days following the missed event. No partial refunds or refunds for transferring to a lower cost entry will be refunded. Fridays are separate from the weekend registration, can not be combined, and will incur a separate $50 processing fee. An option to avoid the $50 processing fee, is a one-time transfer to a future event in the same region and the same calendar year. Transponders/Garages/Tech inspections:
Transponders and Tech inspections - Full refund less $5 processing fee.
Garages are non refundable.

Mid Atlantic Autocross Region

For the "Fall Finale" November special event at Summit Point and all Circuitcrosses at VIR or elsewhere: Full credit or refund less $30.00 processing fee, with written notice at least 1 week prior to the start of the event (i.e. by midnight the Friday prior), otherwise no refunds or credits. Once the car goes on track all fees are non refundable and not eligible for credits. Waiting list entries are only eligible for credits. Sorry no exceptions.

For all regular Autocrosses: Your choice of a 50% entry fee refund or a 100% credit toward a later event shall be issued only if you notify Jon Felton in writing by 6:00pm on the Wednesday prior to the event. Refunds or credits shall not be issued after that deadline, but substitutions are allowed at no additional charge.

For all Kart Enduros: Refunds or credits shall not be issued, but substitutions are allowed. Entries for a postponed or cancelled kart enduro are automatically applied to the next kart enduro scheduled at that venue.

For all Special Events: Refunds or credits shall not be issued, but substitutions are allowed at no additional charge.

Mid Atlantic Region

Listed below are two cancellation policies. The first policy is for regular NASA MA events. If you are registering for Hyperfest or UTCC which is a special event, please scroll down to the Hyperfest/UTCC section.


For Regular Events (non Hyperfest and non UTCC)
Racers, Test and Tune entrants, Time Trial drivers: If one cancels more than 7 days prior to the start of the event one may choose between a 100% refund less a $30 cancellation fee or a 100% credit for a future event within one year. If a cancellation occurs less than 7 days from the start of the event there will be no refund, however a 100% credit will be available for one year. Once the car goes on course all fees are non refundable. No exceptions. Please give notice to Laura Cobetto laura@nasaracing.net.

HPDE, Open Practice, Competition School, Hyperdrive, Instructor Clinic participants: If one cancels more than 7 days prior to the start of the event one may choose between a 100% refund less a $30 cancellation fee or a 100% credit for a future event within one year. If a cancellation occurs less than 7 days from the start of the event there will be no refund. Any exception to this rule is at the discretion of the event organizers and will ONLY be in the Standby Credit format. A Standby Credit can only be used three days prior to the start of the event and only if the group for which the holder is wishing to attend has an open slot as of 5pm on the Wednesday preceding the event weekend. Standby Credits will be accepted on a first come first serve basis and are valid for one year. Otherwise no refunds or credits. Once the car goes on course all fees are non refundable. For Special Event: May HYPERFEST @ VIR-
The refund/credit policy for all entrants. In order for any entrant to receive a full credit OR a refund subtract the $30 cancellation fee, we must receive a notice of cancellation by ten days prior to the event. Tuesday May 10 at 6PM is exactly ten days prior. All cancellations must be received by that time and date. Once the car goes on track all fees are non refundable. No exceptions. UTCC: No cancellations, refunds or credits permitted once you register unless someone can be found on a wait list to fill your spot.

Mid South Region

HPDE/Time Trial/School/Open Track: Full refund less $30.00 processing fee, with at least 1 week notice prior to the event, otherwise no refunds or credits. No exceptions.

Race Groups: Fees are fully refundable, less a $30 processing fee, provided that you registered at least 12 days in advance and you notify your NASA region within 5 days following the missed event. No partial refunds allowed. This policy does not apply to special events. Once the car hits the track all fees are non refundable.

A participant may cancel with five day notice. A $20 cancellation fee will apply

NASA Championships

2017 Eastern States Championships Cancellation Policy: A competitor may withdraw from the event and receive a refund by giving written notice of cancellation via email, no later than October 2th, 2017. The entry fee amount minus a $75 handling fee will be refunded. Championships reservation fee & deferred split entry fees are all non-refundable. There will be no exceptions to this policy. 2017 Western States Championships Cancellation Policy: A competitor may withdraw from the event and receive a refund by giving written notice of cancellation via email, no later than September 18th, 2017. The entry fee amount minus a $75 handling fee will be refunded. Championships reservation fee & deferred split entry fees are all non-refundable. There will be no exceptions to this policy. NOLA Region

NorCal Car Control Clinic

Northeast Region

HPDE/Time Trial/School/Open Track: Full refund less $30.00 processing fee, with at least 1 week notice prior to the event start date. Cancellations received up to 72 hrs before the start of the event will receive a credit towards another event. Under 72 hrs no credit is available

Race Groups: Fees are fully refundable, less a $30 processing fee, provided that you registered at least 12 days in advance and you notify your NASA region within 5 days following the missed event. No partial refunds allowed. This policy does not apply to special events. Once the car hits the track all fees are non refundable.

Rocky Mountain Region

HPDE: Full refund less $30.00 processing fee, with notice by the Monday prior to the event, otherwise no refunds or credits. No exceptions.



Race Groups and Time Trials: Full refund less $30.00 processing fee, with notice 5 days prior to the event. After that time, only future credits will be given. Once the car hits the track all fees are non refundable or creditable.




There are no refunds or credits for weather conditions. We run the event in rain, sleet and snow unless the track facility decides to cancel the event.

SoCal Teen Car Control Clinic

Southeast Region

HPDE/Time Trial/School/Open Track/Test-Tune: Full refund less $50.00 processing fee, with at least 1 week notice prior to the start of the event, otherwise no refunds, no transfers, nor credits. No exceptions.Once the car hits the track all fees are non refundable.

Race Groups: Fees are fully refundable, less a $50 processing fee, with at least a 7 day notice prior to the start of the event. If notification is received after this 7 days but within 3 days of the missed event, you will receive credits to be used for future events. This policy does not apply to special events or combined region events. Once the car hits the track all fees are non refundable.

Instructors: Including Instructors/TimeTrials. No refunds, credits nor transfers. No exceptions.

Holiday Promotion - any event registered during the Holiday Promotion period is not eligible for a refund. Up until 10 days prior to the start of the event,You will be able to transfer the registration to another event/member within the same year, but a transfer fee will apply. If within 10 days of the event, no refunds, no credits nor transfers will apply. Once the car hits the track all fees are non refundable.

Worker Coupons - Not accepted for registration to combined region events. Not accepted for supersize, comp school, instructor clinic nor test days. Registrations completed from worker coupon redemption have no refund, no credits, no event/member transfers. No exceptions. Once the car hits the track all fees are non refundable.

Race/TT Cancellation policy: Full refund or credit up to 5 days after the event. No refunds or credits once the car goes on track.
